The 533D Bombardment Squadron was an active unit of the United States Air Force from 1942 until 1945. During World War II, the squadron flew missions over the Pacific Theater, performing bombing raids on enemy targets and providing close air support to troops on the ground. The 533D earned numerous awards for its bravery and performance throughout the war and was credited with destroying numerous enemy targets. Following the end of WWII, the squadron was deactivated and its members returned home. Later, the squadron was reactivated and served during the Korean War and Vietnam War. Sadly, the 533D was eventually disbanded in 1974. The legacy of the squadron remains, however, a testament to the courage and patriotism of its members.Us Army Air Forces,Dreambaby
