The Blackburn B26 Botha was a British two-seat light bomber aircraft which entered service in 1936 and saw action during the Second World War. It held a crew of two in tandem under an open cockpit canopy. This aircraft was powered by a single Bristol Mercury IX radial engine which produced 925 hp, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of 211 mph. The B26 Botha was armed with two fixed, forward-firing .303 inch machine guns and had a bomb load of up to 1,000 pounds. It saw widespread service throughout the war and was used for reconnaissance, as a night fighter, and anti-shipping operations.
