My hero is a veteran! I’m proud to wear my Veteran’s Day Family Grandpa Dad shirt every chance I get. My grandpa, a U.S. Air Force Retired Lieutenant Colonel, is the most inspiring veteran in my life. He served a combined total of 31 years and flew hundreds of combat missions during the Korean and Vietnam wars. Although he never bragged, his selfless service earned him numerous awards, including the Silver Star and Distinguished Flying Cross. Whenever I wear my shirt, I am filled with pride and gratefulness for everything he has done for our country.
