Seeing him singing on the television and hearing his music on the radio made me feel like we had a special bond, as if he was my BFF. I remember collecting all of his albums and playing them over and over. I would sing along and dream of meeting him one day. Even after he left the music scene, I always remembered him fondly and kept up on what he was doing. To this day, those old Shaun Cassidy albums still bring back memories of the days when I was young and naïve, but full of hope and dreams.

My First Shaun Cassidy Shirt was a dream come true. As a child growing up in the 1970’s, I was obsessed with the “teen idol” and his music. I begged and pleaded with my parents to buy me one of his shirts. Finally, after weeks of negotiation I had the shirt. It was white, with a blue starburst pattern and printed with Shaun’s signature on the chest. It was my most prized possession.
