The 2023 Great Lakes Spring Challenge is an annual canoeing and kayaking race that takes place in the Great Lakes region. Participants paddle from Chicago, Illinois all the way up to Duluth, Minnesota along the shoreline of Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. The event tests the paddlers’ physical and mental endurance over a span of four days and three nights. Known as a “bucket-list” race, it is considered one of the toughest challenges on the open water. Hundreds of experienced and novice paddlers alike come together in pursuit of adventure, camaraderie, and competition. It’s a journey of a lifetime!
